Smart Lists 101

Smart Lists give you deeper control over how you view, manage and complete tasks. A Smart List essentially allows you to filter and view your tasks by nearly any set of identified task attributes. Todo Cloud comes built with pre-defined Smart Lists, but also gives you the ability to create your own.


Built-in Smart Lists

 

Everything

The “Everything” Smart List gives you a view of all of your tasks quickly no matter which custom list the task belongs to or the due date/priority. While the Everything Smart List cannot be deleted, you can modify the built-in filters to customize the tasks that appear when viewing tasks.


Focus

The Focus Smart List gives you a quick view of all your tasks that are overdue, due today, and upcoming. Just like the Everything list, you can always customize the Focus Smart List by swiping left from the main screen and tapping Edit.


Important

The Important Smart List makes it easy to quickly get to any task that has been marked with a star.


Someday

The Someday Smart List shows tasks that do not have a due date.


Pre-defined Suggested Smart Lists


Assigned to you

Shows tasks that have been assigned to you, across all of your shared lists.


Next seven days

Shows tasks that are due between now and the next seven days.


Today

Shows tasks that are due today.

 

Note: Tasks that are overdue will not appear in this Smart List because they are not explicitly due today. If you want to include tasks that are also overdue, you can adjust the Due date filter to include everything due before tomorrow.

 

Note: Keep in mind that if you have the Use task start dates set to on, tasks which may not be due today but have a start date before or on today will appear in this Smart List.


Overdue

Show tasks that are overdue.


Projects

Show all tasks that are projects.

 

Reminder: A project is a task to which you have added subtasks to.


Recently modified

This Smart List shows tasks that have been modified within the last three days. This can be very handy to quickly identify tasks you are currently working on across multiple lists.
