Slack is one of the industry's leading cloud-based team communication and collaboration tool. Users create chat rooms (channels) organized by topic as well as private groups and direct messaging. 

With this integration, you can create, assign, and complete tasks from within a Slack channel or direct message.

Set-up the Slack Integration

To get started, click the button above, or follow these steps:

  1. Go to: and sign in to your account
  2. Click on your Name >> Settings >> Integration or click here:
  3. Click on Add to Slack
  4. Click the Allow button to authorize Slack with your Todo account.

Create new tasks

Type /todocloud followed by the task name to create a new Todo task from within Slack. You can include a due date, tags, the priority and it will automatically sync with your Todo Cloud account. You can also get creative by using our intelligent task parsing techniques while typing your tasks. 

The command shown in the image above will create a task from slack called "Meet Tom" with a due date of Tomorrow with a high priority and with two tags; meetings and work. 

To create private tasks instead, type the following command instead: 

Additionally, you can convert messages to an actionable item by making it a Todo task by clicking on the three dots that appear when you hover over a slack message. 

Complete tasks

Any task created with the /todocloud command can be completed from within Slack by going to the task in the Slack channel or direct message, clicking the More options drop-down and selecting Complete Task.
